While only a few states require boat insurance, you should definitely look into getting boat insurance. The short answer is: Yes, like any insurance policy you want to ensure that you are covered not only during the season but also in the off-season. We get it, you only use it a few months out of the year and you may wonder whether it’s worth insuring off-season. Even though it’s not in the water, you’ll still need protection for when it’s in storage, whether that’s at home or somewhere else.
