Fire protection and preparation

Fire Prevention Week was October 4th – 10th and if you missed out, it is not too late to do some fire prevention checks in your home.

Check the batteries in your smoke detectors and test to ensure they are working correctly. Equally important is sitting down as a family and coming up with a Fire Escape Plan. It is nothing that any of us should ever have to deal with, but having a plan in place could save precious time that you do not have in an emergency situation.

Be sure to sit down with your family to go over your Fire Escape plans and to draw up different scenarios.
