Holiday Checklists

Much like any holiday many people will either leave their homes, or have guests at their home. Always remember to have a checklist of “to dos”. For example if you are leaving, be sure to turn off appliances, extra lights, and anything else you will not be using for the period you will be gone. Also be sure to inspect your vehicle prior to leaving.

If you have people coming over, be sure to have helpful notes or signs. They may not realize that the switch in the kitchen is not for the lights but for the garbage disposal and accidentally turn it on when there happens to be a utensil at the wrong place during the wrong time. So, helpful signs or notes will go a long way and could save you from having to put out money or report a claim.
