Drive safe, School is in session

School is back in session in many areas. This means busier commutes during the morning and afternoons.  Combine that with the challenges of the upcoming season with wet roads, leaves starting to fall, and decreased visibility.  We remind everyone to please be aware of school buses and be sure to stop.

Remember, in Pennsylvania it is illegal to pass a school bus when its red lights are flashing & stop arm is extended.  We are also required to stop at least 10 feet away when behind the bus, meeting the bus, or approaching an intersection where a bus is stopped.  For Pennsylvania’s School Bus Law visit PennDot website: https://www.penndot.gov/TravelInPA/Safety/TrafficSafetyAndDriverTopics/Pages/School-Bus-Safety.aspx
